Come and see the fun we
had !!
To stage your very own
Mob Joeylympics you could run a weekly program
following an Olympic theme , or you could run the Olympic theme for a
couple of weeks
making flags etc and finish the theme with an outside activity at the
local park or
football oval complete with opening ceremony , flag of nations parade
, Olympic oath ,
torch relay , games and medal presentation ,
You might want to
simply play games such as those included
and call your outing an Olympics .
Be sure to make gold
medals for all competitors , including Joeys , siblings , parents
and leaders .... we all deserve them !!!
Make your Joeylympics as simple or complex as you like .
To make a GOLD MEDAL ,
just cut circles of
cardboard , spray paint them all GOLD ,
use a hole punch at the top of each medal , thread some ribbon
through and voila !!!
You now have a "genuine" Gold medal :)
I found that with spray painting the medals any writing does not show
up ,
but it really isn't necessary the joeys think they are fabulous
regardless .
We presented gold medals to everyone including parents .
If you choose to have a
Teddy Olympics , ice plenty of Arnotts Teddy bear biscuits
and present the biscuits with the medals at the end of the day
.
